Sports Premium Funding

Sports Premium is additional government funding given to primary schools to improve the quality of physical education (PE), sport, and physical activity. The aim is to ensure all children have access to high-quality PE lessons, develop healthy lifestyles, and enjoy a wide range of sporting opportunities.

At Queensgate Foundation Primary School, we use this funding to enhance our PE curriculum, provide training for staff, invest in equipment, and offer a variety of sports clubs and events. It also helps us promote inclusive participation, develop pupils’ physical confidence, and instil positive attitudes towards fitness and well-being.

By investing in sport and physical activity, we aim to support not only our pupils’ physical development but also their mental health, teamwork skills, and overall readiness to learn.
