Duckling Visit

We were so lucky to have some ducklings from a local farm visit us in school. The children learnt some interesting facts about ducklings and how to care for them. Thank you so much for coming to see us.

Tree Climbing

All the children in Reception have now climbed our tallest Oak tree on ‘The Patch’ using a tree harness. Each child had to listen very carefully to the instructions so they knew how to get back down!

Play Equipment

The children watched the new play equipment being installed over one whole week (a very long week for the children as they were so excited to try it out!) Finally the day arrived, here are some photos…

Parent comment: “The kids are very lucky to have a really nice and new play area!” Dawn May

Hatchling Project

This year we carried out a hatching project with fertile hen’s eggs. We were lucky enough to have an incubator donated to us by Nathan May’s family. The children and adults were very excited about this project and we all had to learn together about the process. We learnt about candling; which is looking at the inside of a developing egg by shining a bright light through it, this was fascinating and some of us were fortunate enough to see the chick moving inside! After waiting very patiently we were overjoyed to see our new fluffy friends! Thank you to Nathan’s parents from Fort View Tyres of St Helens for donating the incubator.
