School Attendance

Entering and Leaving School During the Day

At Queensgate Foundation Primary School, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils is always our top priority.

If you need to come into school outside normal drop-off or pick-up times — for example, to collect your child for an appointment or because they are unwell — please sign your child in or out at the main entrance using the electronic system in the foyer.

If someone other than a parent or carer is collecting your child, please contact the school office in advance. For safeguarding reasons, we cannot release a child to anyone unless we have been informed by their parent or carer.

Visiting Queensgate

If you visit the school at any time during the school day please ensure you sign in using the electronic system situated in the foyer and wear your issued visitors lanyard. Please don’t forget to sign out when you leave and return your Visitors lanyard to the office.

If you are attending any school assemblies, meetings or functions please ensure you arrive in time for the start; late arrivals are disruptive.

Medical Information and Medication

Please keep your child’s medical details up to date through your Compass portal — it is vital that the school is aware of any medical conditions.

Medicines can only be administered if the required medication form has been completed. These forms are available from the carousel in the school foyer.

All medicines and completed forms must be handed in to the school office. This applies to both regularly prescribed medication and temporary medicines (for example, antibiotics or short-term treatments).

Please note, if medications are required to be sent home, an adult will need to collect them from either your child's teacher or from the office.

Thank you for helping us ensure the health and safety of all our pupils.

Please remember, that whilst you are on the Queensgate site it is expected that, like all visitors, you will follow the Queensgate code .
